Owner and Audiologist, Dr. Chandace Jeep, earned a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from University of Northern Colorado in 2006, following a double Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Disorders for Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology also from University of Northern Colorado in 2002. Her 4th year Audiology Externship was at Denver Ear Associates where specialties related to hearing, tinnitus, and vestibular assessment and management were gained. Dr. Jeep is certified by the American Speech, Language & Hearing Association and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology. Dr. Jeep is a licensed Audiologist in the State of Colorado.
Dr. Jeep is a native of Durango, Colorado and was fortunate enough to return to her hometown in 2008 to purchase Animas Valley Audiology. As the owner and having grown up here, patients note the personal touch she has when providing hearing healthcare services, which stems from loving the Four Corners community and the people who live here. Our practice provides a comprehensive array of services related to prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation of hearing impairment. These services include comprehensive hearing evaluations, specialized diagnostic testing, tinnitus evaluations, hearing aid fittings, and tinnitus management options. We evaluate newborns, infants, children, adults, and our mature populations thoroughly, then develop a treatment plan for individualized communication needs.
Additionally, we serve individuals with normal hearing through hearing conservation and education on hearing protection. The clinic offers custom made hearing protection for hunters, people who work in a noisy environment, motorcyclists, fire fighters, dentists, and many other noisy hobbies and professions. Custom-made in-the-ear monitors are available for musicians, as well as custom fit earpieces for hands-free cell phone and iPod use. The popular custom-made swim molds are a must-have for both children and adults who enjoy swimming and going to the beach. We even have a sleep plug style for individuals who are light sleepers or who have snoring companions.
